THE BOOKS

What is The Accidental Partner about?

It's a memoir of my fifteen years inside elite consulting: the mentors, the mistakes, and the moments that shaped how I lead, most of which never made it into a performance review. It isn't a leadership manual, and it isn't really about consulting. It's about the unscheduled, unglamorous apprenticeship that happens underneath a career.

What is The Accidental Education about?

It's the prequel. After the first book came out, readers kept asking where I learned all this before consulting. This is my answer: a shop counter in Jakarta, a lab in Evanston, a Belgian village, and the years before anyone paid me for an opinion. Same style as the first book. Short chapters, more of them, no frameworks, all new stories. Out 15 January 2027.

Do I need to read them in order?

No. Each book stands on its own. If you'd like the story in time order, start with The Accidental Education.

Do I need a consulting background to enjoy them?

Not at all. Readers tell me the lessons travel well beyond consulting. Mentorship, humility, burnout, and figuring out who you are outside of work are things most careers run into eventually.
